WHAT WE DO. As a nonprofit resource and funding network, we have most recently launched a new 2011 Funding Initiative that provides funding and resource development for approved community sports projects. Our CSDC alliance awards grant and sponsorship packages that are designed to cover between 50% and 70% of the approved costs of a project. The school, college, sports club, agency or community organization that is awarded this funding support is required to demonstrate an ability to cover the balance of the cost of the project (30% – 50%) . Our goal is to see a $1 million state-of-the-art synthetic turf field installed for a cost to your local organization of between $320,000 and $360,000. In the same way, our goal is to see a 20,000 sq. foot ( + – ) indoor soccer and multi sports center installed for a cost to you of between $450,000 and $550,000. (Value $1 million +) . Our new funding initiative is able to collaborate with your community organization towards the development of :
- Premium Synthetic Turf Athletic Fields- The highest quality produced in the U.S.A.
- Indoor & Outdoor Sports and Soccer Pavilions – For sports clubs, schools, colleges and parks dept’s
- Community Sports Outreach Centers- Church & Faith Based facilities to effectively serve a community
- International Sports & Outreach Facilities serving impoverished communities in other nations.
WHAT WE TYPICALLY DO NOT GET INVOLVED WITH. We are not a grant funding foundation that provides cash grants. We in turn do not solicit donations or cash support from other foundations, donors or project sponsors. We are a non profit community development corporation organized to disburse like kind and partial material and services donations to qualifying projects. Pursuant to this, 100% of the support for your project comes directly from our national alliance members in the form of like kind and partial donations of materials, labor and installation services. Our own CSDC overhead, operational and administrative support is covered by annual and project by project commitments from our CSDC alliance members.
Facility Improvements not covered: We typically do not provide sponsorship and funding for sports lighting (except indoor sports centers), athletic tracks or bleacher /stadium systems. We can collaborate with you (once approved) to invite other non alliance manufacturers and vendors of those components to join the project to supply those. But, at this time, we do not have confirmed alliance members to help supply and sponsor those components. We do believe we will have them available by late 2012. In addition, we do not provide funding for concrete work, parking surfaces or other hardscape land improvements. However, we will collaborate and work with you to line up a local contractor sponsor who can do this work for you on a partial donation basis, just like the other components that are covered in our funding support package.
